Since 1998 James has been taking trips to the American Southwest. Nature and humanity seem to be locked in a constant conflict for dominance in a landscape of endless horizons.

As a gateway for migration it is a hostile, unforgiving path. For the average American citizen the west represents opportunity or a last chance.

Under this vast sky the monumental earth speaks to James.  The common bondage which holds us here creates a dialog of nature and humanity that resonates on the ancient landscape, speaking of time and struggles, victories and defeats.
