For a moment Peter looks at peace, but it is only a few moments. He needs more drugs, he always needs more to find that moment free of his inner demons.
December 30, 1999-I leave Peter on Ocean Drive in South Beach.
October 1999--I fly out to New Mexico to see how Peter is getting along. It turns into an eight hundred mile road trip, with a stop at the Very Large Array radio telescope on Route 60 west of Magdalena. Peter enjoyed the museum.
2006-Ketchum, Idaho. After five and half years from the day I left Peter standing in the shade of the Lamy, New Mexico railroad station, I'm on the road to find Peter. He is living under a bridge down Route 75 I'm told. I find the bridge south of Ketchum. where Peter sometimes sleeps.
