In 1997, Peter von Ziegesar, a freelance writer living in New York, called me. Peter began by asking if I remember the day we went to pick-up his stepbrother at who was in prep school at the time. I said, yes I do.

"Well, that same boy has been living on the streets for years now and I have started getting involved in trying to help him."

  • July 1998-After bailing Peter out of jail in Leadville, Colorado, Peter and I do alot of hiking, here Peter is photograhed hiking north of Ketchum.
  • July, 1998-Peter photographed on Big Wood River in Ketchum, cleaned-up and looking like the prep school boy he used to be.
  • July 1998-Downtown Ketchum, Idaho, Peter gets drunk at a local bar and plays some pool.
  • July 1998-Red Fish Lake Idaho, the day we are scheduled to meet Peter's mom, Peter takes a cold swim in Red Fish Lake.
